advice for day before

1. Prepare your mind mentally by understanding that this will be difficult, you will get cravings, you will be sluggish and tired the first 3 days.

2. Don't workout like crazy on this. Understand that you will probably be ready for bed earlier and be prepared for some good sleep.

3. It is extremely important that you do organic: Trader Joe's had cheap organic stuff, Sunflower Market, Whole Foods (365 brand is very reasonable)

4. Make sure you have the book: Check it out from your local library or buy it from any number of bookstores.

5. Go into the detox with the frame of mind that losing weight is not the target and don't get on the scale every day. Eating healthy will probably make you aware of the fact that what goes into your body affects the amount of energy you have.

6. Understand that you will be grumpy at times because you can't have that sweet treat you were counting on:)

7. TELL YOURSELF YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

8. Go shopping for food: For your meat i would recommend whole foods because if it isn't organic it is all free range and free of antibiotics.

organic eggs
organic turkey bacon (hard to find, wellshire farms at whole foods makes this peppered turkey bacon that is so yummy).
organic oranges, limes, lemons (we actually get the organic not from concentrate orange juice from whole foods. the brand is organic valley.
organic pears
organic strawberries, raspberries, blueberries
organic apples
organic beets
organic asparagus
organic broccoli
organic cabbage
organic cauliflower
cilantro
lean beef
turkey burgers
fish
chicken breasts
whole foods has great organic and or antibiotic free lunch meat in the deli

* you only need the supplements if you aren't going to be getting the food groups listed above.

* good snacks are grapes (sweet), apples & lunch meat:)

*make sure you are drinking half your body weight in oz of water. a lot of times our bodies mistake dehydration for hunger:)
